Calabasas Road Victory I hired Bernice Brubeck -Wong as my realtor upon a recommendation from a friend when I was looking to buy a home in the Santa Cruz area in early 2009. I am so glad I did! She and her team helped me through an incredibly long escrow on a bank owned property and finally after 8 months I am now moved in and happy as can be. Despite many obstacles in the process, she was great in encouraging me to ask for what I wanted and to hold firm - even though it was a bank owned property. To my surprise, I was able to get the bank to take care of many things that my lender was requiring including installing and paying for a new septic system, mold remediation work, removal of an unpermitted garage extension, repair and carpeting of a bedroom floor and bringing one of the bathrooms into working order. She also took the time to support me in meetings with the neighbors to get a driveway and well easement for the property. When the neighbors wanted to be paid for the well rights, she just said "how about we ask the seller to pay for it" and they did!
